Herbal Academy of New England
(Woburn, MA)
The Herbal Academy of New England, founded by Marlene Adelmann, is a collaborative center offering holistic education and mentoring to all sectors of the population. The main focus of the Academy is to teach the art and science of plant medicine honoring our intrinsic connection to nature. We are dedicated to teaching and promoting a lifestyle of wellness and vitality through the use of herbs, sound nutrition, and optimal health practices. The Herbal Academy will also foster a community among herbalists, students, and individuals just dipping their toes into the herbal waters. We welcome all to learn and teach with us.
We offer both a certification program and drop-in classes, including some free classes. We also offer community hours, when we welcome you to stop by for a cup of herbal tea or infusion; enjoy our garden; and chat with colleagues, students, and mentors.
Studying herbalism and becoming an herbalist may be the most rewarding adventure you will ever experience. One thing for sure, you will see the world diferently and you will know that everything is connected and there is intention and purpose in the smallest wildflower or the simplest weed. If you feel passionate about working with plants, you will definitely discover the magic that unfolds with each and every one you begin to learn about. From the rare and exotic to the common, up through the cracks in the sidewalk dandelion or plantain, the magic and wonder are present.
