panic attacks could be a thing of the past
So if you have found your way to my page discussing natural remedies for panic attacks them I am guessing that I can safely assume that you or someone you care about suffers with these debilitating episodes. You may already have tried or possibly are still taking prescribed medications but would prefer to look at natural remedies for panic attacks as a means of dealing with them and if this is the case then you are in luck for I have a few suggestions that in my opinion are absolute gems.
You should also read my tips and tricks page regarding panic attacks as there are quite a few other measures that you can take alongside of any natural remedies that you choose to use. And of course panic attacks often overlaps with anxiety in general so please feel free to navigate to any of the other related pages listed on the right-hand side. You will also have some good ideas about how to tackle anxiety with natural remedies too.
If you read all of these pages in conjunction with each other , by the time you get to the end you will have a pretty good understanding of anxiety and panic attacks, what causes them, their particular symptoms and ways that they manifests but more importantly you will have some very good ideas about how to progress with natural remedies for panic attacks. Aconite Napellus Aconite is made from the beautiful monkshood plant which ordinarily the poisonous and certainly should not be consumed. However with homoeopathy we can use these kind of substances 100% safely as the way that they are prepared renders their poisonous attributes harmless while enhancing their healing abilities.
Aconite is a really fantastic remedy for things that come on incredibly suddenly and speedily and of course panic attacks usually come into this category. It is a remedy that is really useful when people are terrified and often people that need this actually think they are dying.
It is these characteristics that make aconite one of the best natural remedies for panic attacks. It is important to realise that it only helps in the given moment to allow the panic attack to pass and for the sufferer to calm down again. It will not usually stop them from returning so you still need to look at other measures to deal with them in the long-term. But aconite is certainly one of the natural remedies for panic attacks that you should keep with you in your pocket or purse so that you can grab it when needed.
If you can get the aconite in a 200 C potency so much the better, but if not then just purchase what you can. The point is that you can start to suck one of these the second you feel the panic beginning to rise and you can repeat them as often as necessary, which if at first it every minute or two that is fine. If you follow this simple advice, you will soon see why I believe this to be one of the best natural remedies for panic attacks
Just be sure not to take extra "for luck" if you don't need them as homoeopathy doesn't work that way and then you could upset the balance. Simply stated, you take them when you need them and you stop as soon as you start improving. If symptoms begin to return then you go back to the remedy. KavaIf you have already read my natural remedies for anxiety page then you will already know that kava (Piper Methysticum) can be very useful for relieving the symptoms of panic attacks as well as in dealing with the underlying anxiety feelings giving rise to them in the first place.
However it is not a supplement to mess around with and should only really be taken under the direct supervision of a physician because there are certain circumstances where it should not even be considered even though it is well known to be natural treatment for panic attacks. These include if you are already taking tranquillisers or other medication for Parkinson's disease, anxiety or depression. Nor should it be taken if you are having liver problems or are a drinker.
Nonetheless, if you don't fall into these risk categories, then I seriously suggest that you pop along to your physician and discuss matters with him or her. And even before you do that, you will need to so some research into using Kava as a panic attack natural cure because in some countries, people were so concerned, that they actually banned its use. Your cuntry may be one of them.
Rescue Remedy Rescue remedy is a part of the world-famous Bach flower range of essences and has grown in popularity because not only is it highly effective but it is also completely safe and extremely cheap as well as very easy-to-use.
These days rescue remedy comes in various forms including creams and lotions but the version of it that I am referring to here is the original liquid form stored in small dropper bottles as in the photograph.
Rescue remedy literally does what it says on the tin (or in this case bottle) in that it rescues the person from a situation. This means that it rescues them from their feelings and emotions but for it to be of value and have any effect those emotions and feelings need to be on the extreme side. If a person is mildly upset or anxious and they are unlikely to notice much at all.
Since panic attacks are extreme it follows that rescue remedy is one of the great natural remedies for panic attacks and is another one that should be kept accessible for "emergencies".
Basically all the you need to do, is put a few drops of rescue remedy into a glass of water and begin sipping it or if this is not convenient, then a few drops may be dripped directly onto the tongue. Both methods are equally effective. The main difference is that if it is added to a glass of water, then every time you take a sip it is like taking a new dose so a little goes a long way.
Rescue remedy can be bought extremely easily in good health stores and of course online these days. It is certainly want to keep in the house anyway because it comes in handy for all kinds of extreme emotional situations and not just panic attacks such as grief and distress or other kinds of trauma.
Once again, although rescue remedy is one of the great natural remedies for panic attacks it is not a cure. It will just help it to subside quicker and easier at that time but you still need to look at other measures to help you solve the problem in the first place so that they don't keep recurring.
CBT
Having been a CBT (cognitive behavioural therapist) and working with people who suffered from health anxiety, which many times did include panic attacks as part of the manifestations of it, it will come as no surprise that I recommend this treatment wholeheartedly.
So long as the person is willing to put some effort in then I have seen CBT work absolute miracles and often times in a very short space of time. Of course it is completely safe and it can be done alongside of other natural remedies that you are using to help combat the problem.
You can find out more about this approach on my tips and tricks page (in the question yourself section) as well as in my page discussing social anxiety.
So if you are a person who has been searching for natural remedies for panic attacks that are safe and effective then you might like to try any of the above (remembering that kava should be done under the supervision of a physician).
Please feel free to read all of the related pages on panic and anxiety which, are listed at the top of this page on the right-hand side for your convenience. Safe
